Which objects can I use for scale?

Choose a person, child, soda can, banana, standard-size credit card, A4 sheet, US Letter sheet or 30 cm ruler. The credit card is 8.56 by 5.398 cm; A4 is 21 by 29.7 cm; US Letter is 8.5 by 11 inches. People, cans and bananas are illustrative examples, and actual objects vary.

Can I use my own reference photo?

Yes. Add a tightly cropped, front-facing reference photo and enter its measured height. Its width follows the image proportions. Transparent images work best. Up to four custom references can be saved with your project; you can edit their height later.

Can I compare several products or make a dimension diagram?

Yes. Add up to eight products and choose Product + reference, Compare product variants or Dimension diagram. The man is the default comparison reference. The dimension diagram shows width and height measurement lines; the variant and dimension layouts hide reference objects. You can also adjust output size, labels, spacing, alignment and background styling, and switch off the baseline under the objects. Use separate width and height controls for dimension lines and measurement numbers, or hide the numbers entirely. Choose zero to three decimal places without changing the underlying measurements. The preview stays above the settings and can remain visible while editing. Photo contains the product crop and real measurements, References controls scale comparisons, and Style & export controls the finished image. The settings tabs reappear when scrolling upward. Download result (PNG) is also available beside the project controls. Manual layout keeps current styling while showing selected references.

Can I use inches, feet or millimetres?

Yes. Switch between cm, mm, metres, inches and feet. Entered product measurements are retained internally in centimetres so changing display units does not repeatedly round the physical dimensions. The exported labels follow your selected unit.

Does it stretch the product photo?

No. The preview preserves the artwork's proportions. With aspect ratio locked, entering one dimension derives the other from the crop, so that second dimension should be checked against the actual object. If independently entered width and height disagree with the crop by more than 4%, export is blocked until you adjust the crop or match its proportions.

Can I save a project and edit it later?

Yes. Save editable project downloads a ZIP containing product photos, custom reference photos, measurements, crop settings and layout styling. Use Open saved project to reopen that ZIP in this tool. These controls are at the bottom under Download or continue editing; they save an editable workspace, not the finished PNG. Download result (PNG) saves the finished image instead. Opening a project replaces the current workspace. This is local file saving, not cloud sync or automatic backup; keep the ZIP yourself. Project files are limited to 50 MB.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Product photos, custom references and project files are read and processed in your browser. Exporting creates a local PNG download. Standard reference artwork loads with the website, but your uploaded image files are not sent to a processing server.

What image should I use, and can it remove the background?

A tightly cropped transparent PNG taken straight on gives the clearest comparison. JPG and WebP can also be used. The optional light-background cleanup is a simple colour-based operation, not AI removal; it can affect pale edges, so review the preview. Cleanup keeps the measurement frame unchanged. Use Background Remover or Listing Photo Fixer first for a complex background.

Download a PNG for a product gallery, specification sheet or social post. Choose square, portrait, landscape or custom output sizes, and optionally a transparent background. Pro adds 2x export, which increases pixel dimensions rather than recovering detail from a small source. Free image exports use the site's daily limit; project saves and previews do not consume a use. Use Download PNG for the full-resolution output within your allowance. Preview right-click saving and dragging are disabled; previews use a lower resolution than exports. A zero outer margin adds no mandatory padding; enabled annotations still need space, and different image and output proportions can leave empty space.

Is this an exact measurement or room-fit tool?

No. It creates proportional illustrations from supplied measurements and image crops. Accuracy depends on those inputs and the camera angle. It is not a physical on-screen ruler, a 3D model or a perspective-calibrated room mockup, and it cannot verify clearances, depth or whether an object can be carried.
