Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how JBN Web, a sole proprietorship based in Denmark ("we", "us"), collects and processes personal data when you use Minitooler (the "Service"), available at minitooler.com. JBN Web is the data controller.
1. What we collect and why
- Account data — email address and authentication credentials, used to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Subscription status — whether you have an active Pro plan, used to unlock paid features. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Support messages — content of emails you send us, used to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interests (responding to your request).
- Basic technical data — IP address, browser type, and approximate location as automatically logged by our hosting infrastructure, used for security and fraud prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
The files you convert with our tools (PDFs, images, video, etc.) are processed entirely inside your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers and we never see them.
2. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences (such as your daily free-tier usage count). We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.
3. Who we share data with
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — our payment processor. Stripe handles card processing, subscription billing, and tax collection. When you buy a subscription, Stripe collects billing details directly. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers used to run the Service, including our authentication, database, and email delivery providers, all acting as processors under written agreements.
- Authorities where we are legally required to disclose information.
4. International transfers
Some of our processors are located outside the EU/EEA. Where that is the case, transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
5. Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes, comply with legal obligations (e.g. accounting), and prevent abuse. Support emails are typically kept for up to 3 years. You can request deletion at any time.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw any consent at any time and lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet). We respond to requests within one month.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and hardened cloud infrastructure — to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, but we take our obligations seriously.
