Is my archive uploaded to a server?

No. The file is opened, listed, and extracted entirely on your own device. It never leaves your browser, which is why the tool also works offline once the page has loaded.

Which archive formats can it open?

Yes. If the archive is encrypted, a password box appears — enter the password and the contents are decrypted locally. The password is never transmitted anywhere.

Can I create a RAR file?

No — RAR compression is proprietary and cannot legally be reimplemented, so no tool can create RAR files apart from WinRAR itself. You can create ZIP files here, which every operating system opens natively.

How large an archive can I open?

Free users can open archives up to 100 MB. Pro members are limited only by their browser's memory, which is usually a couple of gigabytes.

Does it work on iPhone, iPad and Android?
