Can I convert HEIC to PNG or WebP instead?

Yes. Choose JPG for broad compatibility, PNG when you want to avoid additional lossy compression, or WebP for web use. PNG does not recover detail already lost in the original HEIC photo, and it can be much larger.

What does the quality slider change?

JPG and WebP have a 5%–100% quality slider, starting at 90%. Lower settings usually produce smaller files but can lose detail. Check the output preview and file size before downloading. Even 100% is not a promise of an identical copy of the HEIC source. PNG has no quality slider.

Can I convert a batch of iPhone photos?

Will camera details, dates and GPS locations be kept?

Do not rely on this conversion to preserve EXIF metadata such as camera settings, capture dates or GPS coordinates. Keep the original HEIC files if those details matter.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
